THE Drovers remain in firm contention for a top three play-off place following an outstanding win over a disjointed and in the end dispirited Cardiff.
This Saturday, Llandovery one of half a dozen clubs in the play-off hunt, travel to Pandy Park to face the leaders Cross Keys.
Llandovery embarrassed Cardiff with the ease of this five tries to nil victory, which included two touchdowns by man of the match No 8 Richard Brooks.
The home side had the game won by half time to please coach Euros Evans who said: "We used the elements to very good effect to go ahead 34-0 at the break but in many ways the second half performance was even better.
"We carried hard and rarely spilled a ball into the wind and rain and it was one of our best forward displays for some time."
Llandovery’s dominance told as they were awarded a penalty try at a scrum while wings Aaron Warren and Mike Evans also crossed the whitewash.
Fly half Jack Maynard added three conversions and a penalty.
