The Red Kites Cluster are getting ready for their annual festival of girls rugby which takes place this Sunday, June 10 at Trefecca Road, Talgarth.
Cluster rugby festivals are held throughout the summer across the Blues and Dragons regions providing a range of rugby opportunities and playing formats for girls of all ages (6 through to 18) with teams from across South and East Wales taking part.
Girls from across South Powys look forward to training together every Friday evening in a fun environment with volunteer coaches to prepare for the rugby festivals.
Supporters are welcome at the free festival on Sunday which kicks off at 10.30am with refreshments available throughout the day.
Red Kites Cluster Lead Ceri Morgan said: “The Red Kites have gone from strength to strength since their inception 3 years ago. We are pleased that Wales women’s captain Carys Phillips is our Ambassador again this year and we are grateful for the support of local businesses who have advertised in this year’s programme which will be handed out on the day and provides information for anyone wishing to find out more about the Cluster and how it is run.
