SPORT Powys and Crickhowell Primary Cluster Schools (Crickhowell, Llangynidr, Llangattock & Llanbedr) met for the second cross country league at Llangygnidr Primary School on Wednesday, February 7.
The aim of these events is to give an introduction to cross country on small adapted courses within the local primary school grounds for existing and new runners to get involved.
We run four events in total with the final event being at the high school with a small presentation for individual runners along with a school winner, adding that small touch of competition.
Sport Powys want to create opportunities for all participants to try new sports and activities and inspire children to compete for their school and transition to local clubs.
A huge well done to all runners involved and a big thanks to parents, teachers and volunteers who make these opportunities viable.

Year 3/4 girls race: 1st Jasmine Smith Llangynidr, 2nd Betsey Johnson Crickhowell, 3rd Emme Sherrard Crickhowell.
Year 3/4 boys race: 1st Michael Mason, Llangynidr, 2nd Joshua Backhouse Crickhowell, 3rd Adam Oliver Llangynidr.
Year 5/6 girls race: 1st Mia Sherrard Crickhowell, 2nd Emily James, Crickhowell, 3rd Ella Rees Crickhowell.
Year 5/6 boys race: 1st Oliver Powell Llangynidr, 2nd Arther Thomas Crickhowell, 3rd Jack Boswell Crickhowell.
