Police are appealing for information following several arson attacks in rural parts of Herefordshire.

The latest incident happened at Norton Canon, where officers received a report of a barn on fire at around 3am on Sunday, August 23.

West Mercia Police say there have been several incidents across the county in recent weeks.

Detective Sergeant Mark Jones is appealing to people living in the affected communities for information which could help the investigation.

He said officers were particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen suspicious activity, vehicles or people in the areas affected.

Police are also asking anyone with dashcam, CCTV or doorbell camera footage to come forward.

“Arson can have devastating consequences, particularly in rural areas where fires can spread quickly and pose a serious risk to people, property, livestock and the wider environment,” DS Jones said.
