New fire incident declared as Glascwm wildfire can be seen from 10 miles away

A new wildfire located above Glascwm has been described as ‘significant’ and Mid Wales fire crews and farmers are currently attempting to deal with the incident.

The fire can be seen from around ten miles away.

A spokesperson for Llandrindod Wells Fire Station said: “Our crews are currently responding to a wildfire located above Glascwm.

“Please do not approach the incident to watch or take photographs, as this can hinder firefighting operations and put yourself and others at risk.”
