A KEEN angler has scaled new heights after he landed a monster fish in the River Wye weighing over 30 pounds.

Andy Smith was left reeling after he netted this 30.5lb pike near Builth Wells last week and while Andy has not netted any records for the biggest pike caught on the Wye, river boffins have this week claimed that to have caught such a whopper up stream of Hay-on-Wye is 'spectacular' and 'unheard of'.
