Brecon and District Mind is inviting the community to take part in three events next week focused on grief, loss and healing.
On Wednesday, December 3, Kensington Church will host Understanding Grief, a session running from 1:30pm to 4:30pm for professionals, volunteers, families and carers. The event will feature talks from Gethin Amoss and the Powys Teaching Health Board Postvention Team.
On Friday, December 5, the church will hold a Creative Reflection on Bereavement workshop from 1:30pm to 4pm for anyone aged 18 and over who is grieving. Led by Miriam Vincent, founder of Minnie La La Designs, the session will involve simple drawing and painting activities.
Finally, on Sunday, December 7, a Memory Walk will take place at Brecon Promenade with Ness at 1pm, followed by a memorial service at 3pm with Rev Emma Franks at Kensington Church.
A spokesperson for Brecon and District Mind said: “Join us for three gentle, thoughtful sessions exploring grief, loss and healing. Whether you’re a professional, volunteer, carer, someone who’s been bereaved, or are simply curious, you’re welcome to attend any part of the event that speaks to you.”
Those wishing to attend can contact Brecon and District Mind by email at [email protected] or call 01874 611529 or 07535 793154.
