After rocking Brecon with their smash-hit production of Jesus Christ Superstar earlier this year, Brecon Little Theatre is back, and this time they’re swapping biblical drama for bohemian chaos with the iconic rock musical RENT.

This bold, big-hearted show will light up Theatr Brycheiniog from Thursday, October 9 to Saturday, October 11.
For those who aren’t familiar with the show, RENT whisks audiences away to New York’s East Village, where a group of friends and artists are chasing dreams, falling in love, and facing life’s challenges together. It’s gritty, funny, heartfelt, and is packed with incredible songs like “Seasons of Love” and “La Vie Bohème” that will leave you singing along long after the final curtain.

BLT Chair Chris Rankin, who also stars as Mark Cohen, said: “RENT is a joyful experience and a celebration of life. It's like nothing you will have seen in Brecon before.”
That excitement is matched by a brilliant cast, including Dan Price as Roger, Jesse Ashby as Collins, Edd Price as Benny, Nia Roberts as Joanne, Evan James as Angel, Ness Beecroft as Mimi, and Angharad Allen as Maureen.

“RENT is exciting, it’s loud, it’s funny, it’s incredibly moving,” continued Rankin.
“But, at the heart of it, you leave feeling warm, fuzzy, full of love, and probably a little bit teary as well”.
Brecon Little Theatre has built a reputation for putting on incredible shows for the community, each braver and more challenging than the last, and this production promises to be one of their most ambitious yet.
Tickets are on sale through Theatr Brycheiniog and start at just £14 plus booking fee. With just four performances (the first night being an open dress rehearsal), seats are likely to sell quickly, so grab yours now.
