Builth Wells Rotary Club has received a boost after helping to manage parking at the Newtown & District Automobile Club’s annual Welsh Rally at the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society showground in Llanelwedd earlier this year.
Over the two-day event, Rotarian volunteers provided parking support for competitors and visitors, helping the event run smoothly.
In recognition of their efforts, the Automobile Club donated £3,561.80 to the Rotary Club, which will be used to support local charities. The cheque was accepted by Rotary President Hugh Garner.
The Automobile Club also made a further donation of £500 to Builth Wells Junior Female Football Club to help the team continue providing opportunities for young players. The cheque was received by the club’s head coach.
