Four Powys campsites have been named in Campsites.co.uk’s top 150 sites in the whole of the United Kingdom.
With the summer holidays nearly upon us, the experts at Campsites.co.uk have revealed their annual top 150 campsites.
Bryndu Caravan and Camping, Cwmdu Campsite, Lakeside Caravan Park, and Spring Rock Holidays were included in the top 150.
Lakeside Caravan Park, included in the top 150, sits in the heart of the Bannau Brycheiniog, with Llangorse Lake right on its doorstep.
On being included in the top 150, Lakeside’s Will Davies told The Brecon and Radnor Express: "We’re absolutely delighted to be included in Campsites.co.uk’s top 150 sites in the UK. It’s a real testament to the hard work of our team and the wonderful guests who’ve supported us over the years.

Guests can enjoy a wide range of watersports, including paddleboarding, rowing, pedaloes, fishing boat hire and even water skiing, making it an ideal base for both relaxation and adventure. Mornings can start at The Lake Cafe for breakfast, and the site’s shops offer essentials with EV charging points outside. There is also The Lakeside Bar, great for evening meals, drinks and occasional entertainment for all ages.
Also featured was Bryndu Caravan and Camping located near Llyswen, which offers onsite spa treatments such as massages and facials, a children’s play area and a small shop for essentials.

Cwmdu Campsite offers clamping, camping, holiday cottages, an on-site shop, coffee shop, as well as saunas and ice baths. The family run business has been awarded Best Campsite in Wales 2022, Best Family Campsite 2023 & Best Mid Wales Campsite 2023, 2024, and 2025 by campsites.co.uk.
“We’re absolutely delighted to be recognised among the UK’s top 150 outstanding campsites,” said couple Sarah and Calvin, who run the campsite. The site was established in 1964 by Sarah’s grandparents, Olive and Eric.
“As a family-run campsite in the Black Mountains, we’re passionate about giving guests a peaceful escape surrounded by spectacular scenery. Our on-site shop, play area, coffee pop-up, pizza nights and nearby community-owned pub all help create the memorable experience that keeps people coming back.”
