POWYS council has launched an urgent recruitment drive as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
As well as recruiting staff to work with elderly and vulnerable residents it is looking to fill administration posts and take on more waste and recycling staff.
Cabinet member responsible for recruitment Councillor Graham Breeze said: “We urgently need more help as we are already starting to see staff shortages in some areas. Please don’t worry if you don’t have experience in these areas as full training will be given.
“However, time is of the essence, so if you are looking for work, please contact us as soon as possible."
The council says it is currently recruiting
- Waste and Recycling Operatives;
- Reablement Support Workers
- Domiciliary Care Assistants
- Administrators - Adult Services
- Care Assistants
- Contact Officer ASSIST
- Day Support Workers
- Home Support Workers
- Review Community Support Officers - Older People

The council is also working with partners, including the Powys Association of Voluntary Organisations, to co-ordinate volunteer support for vulnerable people within the county.
