A 72-year-old man has admitted possessing indecent images of children.
John Agnew, of Penybont, Llandrindod Wells, pleaded guilty to four offences at Llandrindod Wells Magistrates’ Court on September 29.
He admitted three charges of possessing indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of children, involving one Category A image and two Category B images.
He also pleaded guilty to possessing 12 extreme pornographic images depicting sexual acts involving animals.
The offences relate to material recovered at his home on February 13, 2025.
Agnew has been released on conditional bail and is required to register with police.
He is due to be sentenced at Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates’ Court on October 21.
A pre-sentence report is being prepared and that all options, including committal to the Crown Court, will be considered.
