An Ystradgynlais woman has admitted burgling a house on the same street where she lives.

Debra Walters, 61, of Bryn Road, Ystradgynlais, pleaded guilty to burglary and theft at Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates’ Court on Monday, October 5.

The court heard she entered a property in Bryn Road as a trespasser on September 21, 2025 and stole ornaments of an unknown value.

The offence was committed without violence.

Walters was granted unconditional bail and is due to return to Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates’ Court on November 2 for sentencing.
