A darts event held at a Powys pub has helped raise more than £500 for charity.

The ladies darts teams at the Severn Arms in Penybont organised the mixed pairs competition.

Money raised from the event was donated to Dementia Matters in Powys (DMiP).

A cheque for £530 was received by the charity’s Chief Officer, Deborah Gerrard.

Donations were also received from Colin Jones of SP Fillers in Llandrindod Wells and the Severn Arms.

The winners of the darts competition were Robbie Wilson and Ian Rees and the runners-up were Faye Goodwin and Keith Davies.

DMiP is an independent charitable organisation that works to develop and share innovative practice - supporting people living with dementia and those who care for them.
