Last week Brecknock YFC held their 74th Annual Junior Drama/Entertainment/Junior and Senior One Plus festival at Theatr Brycheiniog in Brecon.

264 members took the the stage and gave outstanding performances.

The federation would like to thank judges Susan Doherty, Sharon Hammond, theatre staff, Tin Wheeler, Andrew Bufton, backstage stewards, county officials, clubs, club leaders and parents for all their support and ensuring the week was a huge success.

Congratulations to all members who took part and helped put on a wonderful show.

Congratulations to Nia of Trecastle YFC on winning the best female 16 years or under in the Junior One Plus Competition and Aled of Troedrhiwdalar YFC for taking best male performance 16 years or under.

Senior One plus Mollie of Pontfaen YFC won best female 28 years or under and Richard of Sennybridge YFC won best male 28 years and under. Congratulations to Sennybridge YFC on winning both Junior and Senior One Plus competitions.

Congratulations to Builth Wells YFC on winning the BAFA Trophy for the first placed Junior Drama.

Libby of Sennybridge YFC won best actress 28 years of age or under and Samuel of Erwood won best actor.

Belle of Llandefalle YFC won best actress 18 years of age or under and Seb of Trecastle YFC won best actor.

The Spin Dogs award for best set was awarded to Builth Wells YFC, the Sally Cooper Award for best choreography was awarded to Trecastle YFC, and the Margaret Lewis Memorial Award for best costume and make-up was awarded to Pontfaen YFC.

A huge congratulation to Erwood YFC on winning the 2023 entertainment competition and also winning the NFU Mutual Trophy for the best production at the festival and the Builth Wells YFC trophy for the best written production.
