Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team said they received 25 callouts in the month of July, and with their incredible work they were able to deploy members to 23 of those.

This takes their callouts to 128 and deployments to 115 in total this year so far.

The team were called out to lower leg and ankle fractures, hips and pelvis fractures, dislocations, shoulder, neck injuries, onset of various medical conditions and heat related problems this month.

They have visited the Central Brecon Beacons mountains and Waterfalls Country, but also the Gwent Valleys (Twmbarlwm, Blaina), Rhondda Valley at Maerdy, Taffs Well a couple of times and Garwnant Forestry and as always wish their casualties well.

“As usual it’s been terrific joint working with South Wales Police, Dyfed-Powys Police,Gwent Police, Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust, Brecon Mountain Rescue Team, Western Beacons Mountain Rescue Team and South Wales Fire and Rescue Service,” said a spokesperson for the rescue team.
