Patients across Powys are being advised to check whether their GP practices are open before attending due to a county-wide flu vaccination programme.

The inoculation programme may cause GP practices be closed for the afternoon on the dates below:

• Wednesday, October 20

• Wednesday, October 27

• Wednesday, November 3

• Tuesday, November 9

• Tuesday, November 23

• Tuesday, November 30

Powys Teaching Health Board is advising all patients to visit their practice website to check if they are closed.

For closed Practices, the health board ask that patients do not contact or visit their GP practice during this time.

Routine requests such as appointments, repeat prescriptions and test results should be made another day.

Any patients of closed practices needing urgent GP care during these afternoons should contact Shropdoc on 01743 455364.

Practice telephones will also be diverted to the Shropdoc number.
