The 76th Cwmowen Sheep Dog Trials, Show and Sports was recently held at Blaenbwch Farm, Maesmynis, Builth Wells, by the kind permission of the Powell family.

The event featured sheep dog trials, a pony show, and a companion dog show, each with various classes for young entrants. Children’s sports included a cross-country race, as well as competitions such as Best Decorated Stone, Best Handwriting, and Best Decorated Wellington.

For all ages, there was a ‘Guess the Weight of a Sheep’ contest and a ‘Spudtacular’ competition for the heaviest potatoes grown in a bucket over the past three months.

The day was enjoyed by participants and visitors alike, making it a memorable event for the local community.
