The Station Crescent public toilets in Llandrindod Wells have reopened following a full refurbishment, helped by a grant from Visit Wales.
The upgraded facility features a new roof and a redesigned layout that now includes a Changing Places Unit, providing a hoist and other aids for people with medical conditions or disabilities. Llandrindod Wells is the first town in Wales to include such a unit within a council-run public toilet block.
Chair of the Town Council, Cllr Steve Deeks-D’Silva, received the keys from contractor Danfo UK Ltd at the official opening earlier this week. The facility will be managed by Danfo, who have employed local cleaners to maintain it.
The council urged residents and visitors to care for the new toilets and report any anti-social behaviour.
