TWENTY churches in and around the Powys and Hereforshire borders are hoping to read the entire King James Bible in 11 days.

This year's Hay Festival will mark the 400th anniversary of the publication of The King James Authorised Version of the Bible and to commemorate the occasion more than 100 volunteers and counting from churches in the different areas will attempt to read the 66 books of the Authorised Version, totalling 1,189 chapters and over 31,000 verses.
