Scottish television presenter Lorraine Kelly is paying a visit to Crickhowell in February to discuss her brand new book, The Island Swimmer.

On Wednesday the 14th of February at 1pm, Lorraine Kelly will appear for a lunchtime event at The Manor Hotel, Crickhowell, in partnership with independent bookshop, Book-ish.

The book is inspired by her deep love for the Orkney Islands and its people. It's the presenter's first fiction novel.

Lorraine announced her novel earlier this year, with a scheduled release for the 15th of February 2024, meaning those who attend the Book-ish event might get a copy a day early.

Sharing the news via video, Lorraine said: “I’m really delighted to share with you the news of my debut novel. I’ve had such a brilliant time doing this. It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do. I always wanted to write fiction. And I just felt that this was the right time."

Tickets are priced at £10 for admission only or £20 with a copy of the book, and can be found on the Book-ish website.
