The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning covering parts of South Wales, including Ystradgynlais.

03/11/2025 - Wet in the west - Afternoon Weather Forecast UK – Met Office Weather.

The warning is in place from midday tomorrow (Tuesday, 4 November) to 6am on Wednesday. Although rain is expected in parts of Mid Wales, including Brecon, the area is not included in the weather warning zone.

On the weather warning, a Met Office spokesperson said: “Following recent bouts of wet weather, rain is expected to turn more extensive and heavy at times during Tuesday afternoon.

“20-30 mm of rain is expected widely, with some exposed south facing hills of the Brecon Beacons and Dartmoor likely to see in excess of 50 mm.”

The forecaster has given this warning a medium likelihood with a low impact.
