An Ystradgynlais-based mental health charity has changed its name after leaving the national Mind network.
Mind Ystradgynlais officially became The BloomSpace Foundation on Wednesday, October 15. The organisation says it will continue to provide the same services under its new identity.
BloomSpace will offer a mix of creative workshops, nature-based activities, community projects and clinical psychotherapy. It will also remain registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), ensuring it continues to meet national professional standards.
The charity said its focus will remain on prevention, creativity and community support for people struggling with their mental health.
A spokesperson said the change marks “a new chapter” for the organisation, which aims to “change the conversation around mental health” while maintaining the same team and approach that has operated locally under the Mind name.
