Police say they are becoming increasingly concerned for the whereabouts of a 56-year-old woman who has been missing since the end of July.

Marilyn Smith was last seen in Bangor, Gwynedd on July 28 but it is thought she may be in the Dyfed Powys area.

She is described as being Afro Caribbean with black coloured hair.

Inspector Douglas Hughes said: "Initially we believed that she may have booked into a B&B in the area; however following enquires carried out so far we believe she may be in the Dyfed Powys area.

"I would urge anybody who may have information to contact us. Equally I am appealing to Marilyn to make contact with us to let us know she is safe and well."

Anybody who may have seen Marilyn, or anybody who may know of her whereabouts, is asked to contact North Wales Police on 101 quoting reference number 13668.
