Members of the public are being invited to help scrutinise police performance as part of a Community Scrutiny Panel being held in Brecon next month.

The session, organised by Police and Crime Commissioner Dafydd Llywelyn, will take place on Wednesday, July 1, from 4pm to 7pm in Brecon.

Panel members will independently review police contact with the public in a transparent and impartial way. Volunteers will scrutinise the quality of police interactions, the ethical use of police powers and the service being delivered to communities.

The panel acts as an independent public voice, providing views and recommendations to Dyfed-Powys Police to help strengthen transparency, accountability, and the public confidence in policing.

No previous experience is required, and participants must be aged 18 or over. Training and guidance will be provided.

Applications are now open, with a deadline of June 22. Successful applicants will also be subject to vetting.

More information and applications can be found here.
