Rents in Powys are currently at an 8% annual rental price change, with the average rental unit being £595 a month.

It comes after the BBC revealed that across the UK, people are spending more than 28% of their pay before tax on rent.

British real estate company, Zoopla, publish a rental sector survey every three months. It tracks how much the landlord lists the property for rent, but they also reflect the rent that is eventually agreed. Zoopla has revealed that in Powys, the annual rental price change has reached 8.8%.

In January 2023, the average rent for an apartment in Powys was £584.

Currently, the cheapest apartment for rent on Zoopla is a 1 bedroom in Llandrindod Wells, for £390 a month.
