Motorists are being advised of two temporary road closures planned across Powys to allow essential improvement works to take place.

Powys County Council has made Traffic Regulation Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the closures.

The U1508 Lower Trewern Bridge at Llandegley, near Llandrindod Wells, will be closed from August 10 until October 16, 2026, to allow bridge replacement works to be carried out.

A second closure will affect U0746 Belle Vue Gardens in Brecon, which will be closed from August 31 until September 13, 2026, while gas mains replacement works take place.

Where alternative routes are available, these will be signposted during the closure periods. The orders will remain in force for the dates listed or until the works have been completed.
