Members and supporters of Sennybridge Young Farmers Club are busy with final preparations as they gear up to host the 79th Brecknock YFC Rally on Saturday, June 7.
This year’s rally, themed ‘Travelling’, will take place at Llwynstyffilin Farm, Sennybridge – the generous hosts being Mr Huw Havard and family. The event is supported by Hay and Brecon Farmers.
The day promises a packed schedule of competitions and activities, from floral art and woodwork to stockjudging and assault courses, culminating in the ever-popular Main Ring events.
Sennybridge YFC say they are honoured to host the event and hopes there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

The rally is being led by Presidents Mr and Mrs Huw and Carolyn Havard, with Mr and Mrs Geoff and Carol Morgan serving as Deputy Presidents. Chairs this year are Mr John Phillips and Mr Dyfed Watkins, with Rhianwen Jones as Rally Secretary.

A spokesperson said: “The event wouldn’t be possible without the hard work of our dedicated volunteers, supporters, and the Sennybridge YFC members, who have all helped bring this rally to life. The commitment, passion, and teamwork of everyone involved truly embodies the spirit of Sennybridge YFC.
“A sincere thank you must be given to the local businesses and sponsors whose continued support is invaluable, as well as the Brecknock officers and staff, who have supported Sennybridge on this journey!”
The day of competitions will be followed by a Rally Dance – open to those aged 16 and over. One of the UK’s top country function bands, Country Bound, will headline the evening, performing a mix of country classics and modern hits. Barn doors open at 9pm, with tickets available on the door.
Sennybridge YFC warmly invites everyone to come along, support their local clubs, and enjoy a fantastic day filled with energy, enthusiasm, and entertainment.
