On Friday 18th September, the Youth Adventure Trust is hosting Summit Under Stars, a guided twilight trek up Pen y Fan in Bannau Brycheiniog.

Leaving at 5:30pm, participants will hike to the peak at dusk, watch the sunset, enjoy hot chocolate at the summit, and descend under an International Dark Sky Reserve. The event is open to all ability levels and is perfect for individuals, families, and corporate teams looking for a unique challenge.

Entry options include a £50 self-funded place with no fundraising target required, or a £10 entry fee with a £100 fundraising target, while under 18s hike for free (with a registered adult).

The money raised directly funds long-term outdoor adventure programmes for young people facing challenges in their daily lives. By taking on the physical challenge of Pen y Fan after dark, participants are helping local youth build the resilience, confidence, and life skills they need to thrive.

The Youth Adventure Trust is a youth development charity working with vulnerable young people aged 11 to 16 years old from Wiltshire, Swindon and Somerset, and use outdoor adventure and one-to-one support to empower young people to fulfil their potential and lead positive lives in the future. The trust works with them to build resilience, develop confidence and learn skills that will last a lifetime, helping them to face the challenges in their lives. Their programmes are long term to ensure they have maximum and lasting impact for the participants and ultimately improve their future lives. All of the services provided by the trust are completely free of charge to the young people who are nominated by schools and other youth organisations to take part.
