Hay Town Council are appealing for anyone who witnessed damage being dealt to the gate at Gipsy Castle Playground in the town.
The park was recently refurbished and reopened at the end of last year.
The Town Council have said they are arranging for the gate, which has been damaged at its hinges, to be fixed as soon as possible but in the mean time are appealing for anyone who may have seen what happened to it.
A spokesperson for Hay Town Council said: “We've been made aware that the gate at Gipsy Castle Playground has been damaged.
“This playground is for everyone to enjoy, and damage like this costs time and money to repair—money that could be spent improving our community instead.
“We're arranging for the gate to be repaired as soon as possible. If you witnessed what happened or have any information, please get in touch with Hay Town Council.
“Thank you to everyone who helps look after our shared spaces”
