Thursday, October 13 saw the organisers of the Llanddewi Tractor Run present the proceeds of the run to the mental health charity, DPJ Foundation.

Barry Bevan, on behalf of the assembled committee of organisers, handed over the cheque for £280 to DPJ Foundation representative, Mair Lewis.

The DPJ Foundation was set up in July 2016 in Pembrokeshire after the death of the founder’s husband, Daniel Picton Jones.

Over the years the charity has grown, and it now supports all in the agricultural sector covering the whole of Wales with all areas of support to help provide an accessible and flexible service.

Watching the proceedings was one of the run’s founders Dennis Davies, also alongside Joan Davies, Dot Bevan, Jane Bevan and route leader Gareth Rees.

The run, which took place back in August, attracted a wide and varied entry of vintage and modern tractors with Gareth Rees leading them on their tour of the area from Llanddewi, and through the communities of Dolau, Cwm Y Gwaist, Llanbister Road, Gravel Arch, Beacon Hill, Maelienydd, and Heartsease before returning to Llanddewi Village Hall.
