It's been a very successful few weeks for Libby Davies of Sennybridge YFC.

At the recent YFC public speaking day, Libby was crowned Brecknock Senior Member of the Year.

Libby, 23, is the Senedd and Parliamentary Affairs Officer for the Farmers Union of Wales.  She is currently secretary of Sennybridge YFC and works with her fellow members to support their junior members.  Organising community events, such as the annual whist drive and the summer fun day, as well as a packed club programme, leaves her very little spare time as she is also a very active member taking part in any competitions - from cooking to public speaking to stock judging.

Libby, who is currently Competitions Vice Chairman, was also awarded the accolade of Best Actress Under 28 in the county’s recent drama festival, portraying Mrs White in the club’s entertainment entitled “True Colours”. The judge commented on her talent and said with such a strong performance she had a future in musical theatre .

In addition to all of this, Libby was part of the winning Brainstrust Team and will go on to represent the county at the Wales YFC Public Speaking Day later this month

Libby works hard to encourage all the junior members to take part in as many events and competitions in the YFC calendar as possible, as she knows how rewarding this can be to their speaking skills and confidence.

At the weekend, Libby went to Bangor for the Wales YFC Final for the Senior Member of the Year award where she gained third place, which is an excellent achievement.
