Brecon's first ever Pride event got underway today (Saturday, September 2) with a parade already taking place earlier on, bringing together the community to support the LGBTQIA+ community.

Led by bagpipes and Town Mayor, Cllr Michaela Davies, the large colour-filled parade made its way through the town, crossing over the Usk Bridge, and going onto Market Street.

The hundreds of participants took to the Struet, and went on to High Street before taking to the Bulwark.

The party atmosphere with a police escort concluded at the King George Playing Fields.
