Brecon is set to host its first ever Brecon Pride this Saturday, September 2, bringing together the community to support the LGBTQIA+ community.

A colour-filled parade will kick off the event at 11.30am through the town.

The parade begins on Dinas Road and will cross the Usk Bridge and head up Market Street, before turning right and right again, heading on to The Struet, which leads on to High Street.

The parade will continue to the Bulwark and progress through the town, turning right on to Rich Way, then onto Canal Road by Theatr Brycheiniog.

The parade will then finish at the King George Playing Fields.

The playing fields will then play host to performances and activities from 12.30pm until 7.30pm.

Enfys the Rainbow Dragon will be out and about meeting people.

There will be various stalls offering a wide range of merchandise, food and information from LGBTQIA+ organisations and local businesses.

Brecon Pride has been organised by Brecon Town Council with sponsorship from Calibre Connections, Specsavers and Llanfaes Dairy.
