Heavy wind and rain is the order of the day for Brecon and Radnorshire for the next 24 hours.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind that will come into force at 6pm today (Wednesday) and run until 3am tomorrow (Thursday).

This follows today's yellow weather warning for rain which is in place until 4pm this afternoon.

This evening's wind warning cuts through the centre of the constituency, with Brecon on the cusp of the warning area. Ystradgynlais, Llanwrtyd Wells, Llandrindod Wells and Builth Wells are all included in the warning area, as well as Llandovery in Carmarthenshire.

The forecaster has warned that the brief spell of "very windy conditions" could bring disruption through Wednesday evening and night.

Today's rain warning covers almost the entirety of the area, with only the most eastern parts - Knighton, Kington and Presteigne - exempt from the yellow warning.
