Ysgol Calon Cymru celebrates A-level results

Ysgol Calon Cymru is celebrating the achievements of its sixth form learners following the publication of this year’s A-level and AS-level results.

Headteacher Lee Powell said the results reflected the hard work and commitment of learners, alongside the dedication of staff and support from families.

“We are incredibly proud of our VI Form learners and the achievements they have secured today,” he said.

“I would like to congratulate every learner on their achievements and thank our staff and families for the important role they have played in supporting them.

“We wish all of our learners every success as they move on to their post-18 pathways.”

Head of VI Form Mrs Tiernan said learners had worked exceptionally hard throughout their courses while balancing examinations, non-exam assessment (NEA) and other responsibilities.

She said she was particularly impressed by the “independence and maturity” learners had developed, with many taking increasing responsibility for their own learning.

“We are incredibly proud of every learner receiving results today,” she added.

“We wish those moving on to a wide range of courses at university, apprenticeships, and employment every success for the future.”

The sixth form has also provided learners with opportunities in enrichment, leadership, extracurricular activities and skills development alongside their academic studies.

The school said these experiences had helped learners build confidence, resilience and wider skills for life beyond school.

Learners will now progress to a range of destinations, including university, apprenticeships and employment.

The school congratulated all of its A-level and AS-level learners and thanked staff and families for their support throughout their studies.
