Ysgol Gynradd Pontsenni in Sennybridge has celebrated achieving the Cymraeg Campus Silver Award, with the Criw Cymraeg and the whole school community taking part.
Ysgol Pontsenni was formally recognised for its work in promoting Welsh as a living, vibrant language across the school and the wider community.
The school’s active Criw Cymraeg members have organised numerous events and activities, encouraging pupils, parents, staff, and the local community to use Welsh naturally and meaningfully.
The recent Estyn Inspection report noted: “A strong Welsh ethos is an integral part of the school, with most pupils developing increasing confidence in their ability to speak Welsh in both streams.
“Alongside the school’s Welsh ethos, pupils across the school develop to become speakers who are proud of their ability to speak Welsh.”
