Timmy Richards and Aled Powell both notched centuries as Builth Wells made it three wins in a row in the Worcester Cricket League Division Seven (South) with a 254-run victory over Fownhope Strollers.
The Bulls lost to Strollers in their first game of the season but avenged that defeat with a fine allround performance.
Openers, Neil Harris (43) and Paul Rowe (19) got off to a steady start but it was a third wicket stand of 223 between the centurians that took the game away from the visitors. Richards passed the 100 mark for the second time this season with 21 fours and a six in his 124 and Powell made 102, which included 16 fours and a six. Dylan McPhee (10), Musa Makhubela (13 not out) and Harri Phillips (10 not out) then helped Builth to a formidable 349 for 6.
Phillips then took 3 for 39 to leave Strollers reeling at 18 for 3 before Makhubela took over ripping through the remainder of the batting. The South African recorded his best figures for the Bulls taking 6-30 as Strollers were all out for just 95 in the 23rd over.
In Division Eight (South), Hay beat Eastnor 2nds by 56 runs with captain, John Sly leading by example. With notable absentees, Hay travelled with 10 men but posted 220 for 7. Opener, Ben Warn (55) set the tone aided by Arthur Price (25). But it was John Sly who anchored the remainder of the innings being caught off the last ball for 76. Mark Burgess (22) and Luq Ali (15 not out) also added valuable contributions.
In reply, Eastnor reached 72 before Burgess struck, taking 3 for 23. Gus Price claimed 2 for 41, Sly 3 for 37, and Ali 2 for 9 as they were bowled out for 164.
