Finley Williams and Tom Dwyer netted the other Knighton goals, with the influential Luke Boundford providing three assists against an ill-disciplined North Wales side who finished the game with eight men following three red cards, while their coach, Ryan Roberts, was also dismissed.

Knighton took the lead after 10 minutes when 16-year-old Williams netted his first league goal for the Radnor Robins after being put through by Boundford. Matthew Worrall equalised two minutes into the second half and Queens Park had Jordan Williams sent off for a second yellow card. Adam Worton’s effort from the subsequent free-kick was spilled by the goalkeeper and Hoyle followed up to put Knighton ahead again. Hoyle increased Knighton’s lead with his second of the afternoon from Boundford’s low cross. Oscar Egerton and Ethan Simpson then also saw red for Queens Park, with Knighton sealing an important victory as substitute Tom Dwyer netted from another Boundford cross in stoppage time.

Builth Wells halted their slide with a 1-1 draw at Rhos Aelwyd, with manager Brad Rollinson feeling it was a much-improved performance and that Builth should really have claimed all three points. The Bulls had chances in the first half, but it was Rhos Aelwyd who stole the lead through Scott Reeves with half-time approaching.

Builth reacted well to a half-time talk and were soon back on level terms, with Lyndon Jones scoring with a cracking free-kick from just outside the box. Harry Edwards hit the bar and Iollan Guinane the post as Builth looked the more likely to win the game, but they had to settle for a point.

Elsewhere in the Ardal League North East, there were wins for Carno and Llangollen Town. Carno celebrated only their second win since promotion, with Llewelyn Jerman bagging a hat-trick in a 4-3 home success over Kerry. Tomos Evans was also on target, with Barry Bellis, Khyam Wyton (pen) and Neil Mitchell netting for Kerry, who had Jake Mann sent off in the first half. Carno player-manager Callum Breese saw red after the break.

Llangollen Town, who are much improved from last season, pulled off a fine 3-2 victory at Bow Street, with Connor Kendrick snatching a stoppage-time winner. Ed Baker and Oliver Clowes were their other goalscorers, with Josh Crowl and Taylor Watts scoring for Bow Street, who have now lost three of their last four.
