Radnor Valley made it six wins from their opening six league fixtures, and moved to the summit of the table, following a 3-2 victory at Llanidloes Town on Wednesday night.
The two teams went in at half-time at Victoria Avenue with the score goalless, but then the game burst into life.
Joey Price scored two goals, including a penalty, and Jack Williams netted one to hand the Goats a seemingly dominant 3-0 lead before the Daffs hit back with goals from Peter Rees and Connor Bird.
Radnor Valley managed to hang on to the win and their 100 per cent record to edge clear of their rivals at the top of the MMP with Norman Lloyd Mid Wales League First Division.
