RHAYADER Town remain in deep trouble at the foot of the Huws Gray Alliance following a 2-0 home defeat at the hands of leaders, Caernarfon Town. But perhaps the scoreline does not tell the true story as Rhayader were up against nine men for the entire second half.
The visitors had Kevin Roberts dismissed for alleged violent conduct after just eight minutes but still took the lead via a Jay Gibbs free-kick.
Rhayader’s Rhydian Davies missed a glorious chance to get back on level terms but saw a penalty saved and then Caernarfon saw Gareth Jones-Evans pick up a second yellow card on the stroke of half-time. Rob Jones added a second goal for the visitors while Rhayader could find no way back in despite having a two man advantage.
