Euan Ingram, also known as ‘Tadpole’, has been selected to represent Wales on one of the biggest stages in the esports world.
Tadpole, who is part of the Brecon-based esports team S.E.A. Dragons, will represent Wales internationally at the FIFAe Nations League.
Ingram is an experienced and talented Rocket League player, who helped S.E.A. Dragons secure their second Welsh Esports League Title recently.
It’s a particularly special moment as Tadpole retired from both club and international competition in 2022, before coming out of retirement to play for the Dragons at club level. This Wales call-up will be his first international appearance since 2022, when he was part of the squad that won gold in Rocket League at the 2022 Commonwealth Championships.
Dragons co-founder Patryk Bialowas said: “We’re incredibly proud to see him back representing Wales, and it’s also a significant moment for us as a club.”
The current Wales Rocket League squad is:Jazzrl, creamzrl, Breezi_EU, Tadpole, and Ell1sRL. They will be coached by LoREclipse.
S.E.A. Dragons’ Rocket League Director Connor Chittock was full of praise for Tadpole. He said: “Delighted to have one of our players here at S.E.A. Dragons selected for international duty!I don't think it comes as a shock to any of us that Tadpole was selected.
“I'm sure he'll play a vital part in the Rocket League teams adventure during FIFAe Nations League. Best of luck to Wales and Tadpole during the upcoming qualifiers!”
Wales are placed in Group B at the FIFAe Nations League alongside England, Israel and Cyprus. Tadpole and the welsh team will kick off their Nations League campaign on Tuesday, 28 April, where they will face England in their first game before facing Cyprus and then Israel in their third and final group game.
