Brecon Mountain Rescue Team and Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team were called out on Friday, March 29 after a 70-year-old fell around 150 metres off the Neaudd ridge.

The casualty sustained multiple injuries and was treated on the scene.

Maritime and Coastguard Agency were called to the scene due to the severity of the injuries. The Coastguard helicopter winched the casualty onboard, taking them to hospital.

A spokesperson for Brecon Mountain Rescue said: “Maritime and Coastguard Agency Rescue 187 did a fantastic winch saving us a lengthly carry out.

“Also a big thank you to the fell runner who managed to get to the casualty and support them until help arrived. We wish the casualty all the best in their recovery.”
