An appeal has been made after a Land Rover Defender was stolen overnight from a family farm in Presteigne.
Highbrook Farm, which houses a vineyard and a holiday cottage for local business Whinyard Rocks, reported that their red Land Rover - with the registration N299 VFO - was stolen between the hours of 11pm and 6am on October 8th.
The vehicle was stolen with a white box trailer locked to its hitch. The farm also reported theft of two quad bikes - a CFMoto and a Kawasaki KLF300, and hand tools. Crates for grape picking were also in the back.
The family farm, run by the Kinsey-Jones family, have asked people to check their dashcam or doorbell footage.
“The Landy has been with us since new in 1995 and is like a member of the family,” says James Kinsey-Jones. “We’d love to get her back.”
Susan and James Kinsey-Jones run Whinyard Rocks in Presteigne, starting from scratch on James' family farm in 2017. The vineyard was originally planted with just 800 vines, and typically produces around 800 bottles annually, with a recently planned expansion.
The family often put on open days, allowing people to visit the farm and sample the wine they produce.
