Running for over 30 years Black Mountain Adventure offers activities on land and water under the watcheful eye of owners, Ann and Carl Durham,

Customers can enjoy fun filled activities such as: gorge walking, caving, high ropes, paddle boarding, canoeing, kayaking, clay pigeon shooting, archery and more in a safe environment thanks to their qualified instructors.

The family business recently found out that Tripadvisor had named them in the top 10 per cent of things to do in the world, thanks to their glowing customer reviews. The accolade was part of Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Awards and the outdoor activity team couldn’t be more ecstatic.

Ann and Carl’s daughter, Hayley Lagerweij is the business’s Assistant Centre Manager. When talking about the business’s aims regarding reviews, Hayley said: “We won some Tripadvisor awards a few years ago but since covid it has been much harder to collect reviews as the volume of guests has been lower and it has taken a while for everyone to get out and about again.

“We have worked really hard as a team in multiple ways to enhance our customers’ experience and to gain feedback by providing a natural reminder but not bugging people! It’s so great to see that it has worked and the results speak for themselves.”
