A Bwlch woman has been banned from driving for 20 months after admitting drink-driving in Talybont-on-Usk.
Maxine Snaith, 56, was stopped on Station Road in the village on September 6 after driving a Renault van.
She provided a breath reading of 71 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Snaith pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle with an alcohol level above the prescribed limit when she appeared at Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates' Court on October 5.
She was fined £507 and ordered to pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service, along with a £203 surcharge.
The court imposed a 20-month driving disqualification, which can be reduced by 20 weeks if she completes a drink-drive rehabilitation course.
Snaith was ordered to pay the financial penalties in monthly instalments of £100, starting on November 2.
A separate charge of being in charge of a vehicle while over the alcohol limit was withdrawn in favour of the driving offence.
