A 31-year-old man from Llandrindod Wells is set to appear in Crown Court next month for sentencing after pleading guilty to multiple offences involving indecent images of children.

Matthew Davies, of Troed y Rhiw, appeared at Llandrindod Wells Magistrates' Court on March 24, where he admitted seven charges, including possession, making, and distribution of indecent photographs and pseudo-photographs. The offences took place between January 2012 and June 2022.

The charges included possession of 133 category A images, 84 category B images, and 211 category C images. He also admitted making 179 category A images, 209 category B images, and 378 category C images, as well as distributing five category C images. In total, the offences involved 1,199 images.

Davies was granted unconditional bail and is due to be sentenced at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court on April 21. A pre-sentence report has been ordered, and he is required to register as a sex offender at the police station.
