Five students from Mid Wales Dance Academy’s senior school have secured places on vocational dance training courses and will head off to full-time training in September.
The success takes the total number of MWDA students progressing into vocational performing arts training to 34.
Pictured are Sarah-May Gunning (seated right) and Kaylah van Staden (seated left), who will be going to the NPTC dance course; Willa-Rose Callender (left), who is going to The Hammond School; Oscar Kelsey (centre), who is going to Central School of Ballet; and Flora Warry (right), who is going to London Studio Centre.
The MWDA wishes them every success with their training and good luck in their pursuit of careers as professional performers.
Before they go, local audiences will have a chance to see these talented young dancers perform in shows featuring a cast of more than 80 MWDA students.
The performances will include the ballet Jack and the Beanstalk (part of Brecon Festival Ballet's development of this brand-new work), as well as dynamic tap dance and street dance pieces.
The shows will take place at Theatr Brycheiniog on Saturday, July 11, at 6pm and Sunday, July 12, at 11am..
