Families are being invited to Tretower Court and Castle this Easter for a weekend of history and hands-on activities.
From Saturday, April 4 to Monday, April 6, children can join Rhys Rabbit on a hunt for Easter eggs hidden around the castle and court. Following clues through the historic buildings, they can help Rhys remember where he left his treats. Those who finish the trail will receive a small reward.
The event is part of a wider programme of Easter activities across Wales run by Cadw, which looks after 132 castles, abbeys, and other historic sites. Activities include medieval demonstrations, circus skills workshops, and family trails.
Chief Executive of Cadw, Kate Roberts said: “The Easter break is a brilliant opportunity for families to explore the remarkable history that surrounds them. We’ve designed a varied and engaging calendar of events that encourages visitors to get outdoors, connect with Welsh heritage, and enjoy meaningful time together.
“Children go free with any adult membership, offering fantastic value for families planning multiple days out. Cadw members enjoy unlimited access to 132 historic places across Wales throughout the year, along with exclusive benefits, making it easier than ever to discover more of our nation’s past.”
