Green Man Festival has been voted the best festival of the summer by listeners to BBC 6 Music.
This year saw the four-day music and words festival at Glanusk Estate, near Crickhowell, celebrate its 15th anniversary.
The festival has a daily capacity of 20,000 and sells out well in advance each year.
This year, Mercury Prize winning PJ Harvey and American singer song-writer Ryan Adams were amongst the headliners.
Listeners to the digital-only BBC 6 Music radio station’s Steve Lamacq show chose Green Man as this year’s top festival.
Fiona Stewart, Green Man’s managing director and owner, said: "We feel honoured and excited to be given this accolade from the BBC 6 Music listeners. Green Man is an independent Powys festival run by a small Powys business and we hope that any success we experience is also a celebration of the outstanding beauty of the region, and the warm, welcoming independent spirit of the people who live here."
Powys council leader Cllr Rosemarie Harris praised the festival and the team that organise it every year, saying: "I am delighted that Green Man has been recognised in this way as not only does it bring a great deal of joy to all of its visitors it also does a lot to remind people just how beautiful Powys and the Brecon Beacons are.
"So with this in mind, I would like to express my appreciation to the organiser Fiona Stewart and her team. They put in an awful lot of hard work to make the festival work so smoothly and itÕs obviously recognised by BBC 6 Music listeners."
Green Man has previously won Best UK Medium Sized Festival, Best UK Grass Roots Festival, Best UK Festival, two D&AD design awards, Welsh Arts Award and Fiona Stewart has been given the Outstanding Contribution to UK Festivals Award.
